Jöttnar - Ravn

Jöttnar wanted to show the suitability of their new Ravn Insulated Jacket in the most extreme conditions it could withstand and so we ventured to Cairn Lochan in the Cairngorms to do just that. The -15 Degree windchill really add to the hardcore climbing aesthetic we were after whilst highlighting the jackets incredible quality and design. The athletes put on an incredible performance climbing the infamous 'Savage Slit' route in comfort and style. Despite the less than comfortable shooting conditions and thick fog that hung over the crag all day, the team was able to perfectly capture the breif, showcasing what Scottish winter climbing and the athletes that undertake these ventures are really made of.

As well as shooting in the field, Jöttnar's brief included a studio element that would lean into the Norse mythology that is integral to the brand's identity. Enter Loki that Raven. Shot at the wonder 'Junction 11' studios, the team was able to get experimental and creative with out lighting set ups to shroud the jacket in mythos and mystery - creating a powerful set of images to instil intrigue and awe. I was gratful to be enabled creatively to add my signature pops of bold colour to breathe additional life into these incredible jackets.
